Work case status

Hi All , There is one cover case has been rejected by end user and work case status changed to resolved rejected in Ui but the work case is still showing as open status in users worklist as well as in db. Also verified in worklist assignment errors but I did not get any results which is related to this case. I tried to reject this case but it is failing due to it is already rejected . There is no child work cases in this case. How we can remove this case users worklist?
